Dr. Indira Vemuri MD is committed to a website that every family can use, including parents and caregivers with disabilities. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, with ongoing work toward WCAG 2.2 AA.

Built-In Accessibility Features

• A "Display & Comfort" button in the footer of every page opens settings for text size, high contrast, reduced motion, readable text spacing, and hiding decorative artwork. Choices are saved on your device.
• A light and dark theme toggle in the header, with accessible color contrast in both themes.
• Full keyboard operability: a skip link on every page, visible focus indicators, and menus and dialogs that trap focus correctly, close with Escape, and return focus.
• All animation (drifting artwork, scrolling claims, hover effects) stops under your system's reduced-motion setting or the panel's Reduce Motion switch.
• The full site is available in English and Spanish, including these statements.
• Semantic headings and landmarks, descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and decorative artwork hidden from screen readers.
• Layouts reflow without horizontal scrolling at 200% zoom and on small screens, and touch targets meet minimum size guidance.

How We Test

The site is checked with keyboard-only navigation, browser zoom and text-spacing overrides, light, dark, and high-contrast modes, both languages, and VoiceOver screen reader smoke tests on macOS. Accessibility is re-verified whenever the site changes.

Documents and Outside Services

Patient forms are provided as PDF files supplied by the practice; if you need a form in another format, call us and we will help. Links to outside services (the patient portal, map directions, and health resources) lead to sites we do not control, which may have different accessibility standards.
